Quaker Wedding Dress Made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States 1809

Wedding Dress: ca. 1803, embossed silk, the neckline and high waistline are fastened in back with drawstrings, the bottom features piping and delicate silk rosettes. “It may have been worn as a wedding dress by Susannah Richardson (1789-1824) who married John Boyd and was again worn by her daughter, Margaret Ann Boyd Johnson who married her second husband, David St. Pierre DuBose in 1831.”
